Inspection Procedure

  1. Check Fuse 
    1. Check if the D front door 20 A, ECU B 7.5 A and IG1 7.5 A fuses are normal.
    1. OK: Go To Step 2  , (Check Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly).
    2. NG: Replace Fuse 
  2. Check Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly 
    1. Check the power source voltage.
      1. Disconnect the master switch assembly connector.
      2. Check the voltage of each terminal of vehicle's side connector of master switch assembly.

      Standard:

    1. OK: Go To Step 3  , (Check Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly).
    2. NG: Repair Or Replace Harness And Connector 
  3. Check Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly 
    1. Check the GND.
      1. Disconnect the master switch assembly connector.
      2. Check the continuity between terminal 2 (GND) of vehicle's side connector of master switch assembly and the body ground.
      1. Standard: Continuity (Constant)

    1. OK: Go To Step 4  , (Check Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly LH).
    2. NG: Repair Or Replace Harness And Connector 
  4. Check Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly LH 
    1. Disconnect the master switch assembly connector.
    2. Inspect the door glass operation when the battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 (UP) and 11 (DN) of the vehicle's side connector of master switch.

      Standard:

    1. OK: Replace Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly 
    2. NG: Go To Next Step  .
  5. Inspect Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly LH 
    1. Inspect the front LH power window regulator motor assembly operation.
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply the battery voltage, because the pulse sensor and limit switch could be damaged if the battery voltage is applied to terminals 2, 3 and 6 of the power window regulator motor connector.
      • Be sure to reset the power window regulator motor (initial position setting of limit switch) when the driver's side power window regulator motor is installed to the regulator.
      1. Check that the motor operates smoothly when the battery positive voltage is applied to each terminal of the connector.

      Standard:

    2. Inspect the PTC operation inside power window regulator motor.
      NOTE: Inspection should be done with the power window regulator and door glass installed to the vehicle.
      1. Set a DC 400 A probe of electrical tester in the wire harness of terminal 4 or 5.
        NOTE: Match the arrow mark of the probe with the current direction.
      2. Set the door glass in the fully closed position.
      3. When 60 seconds have elapsed after the door glass is fully closed, check the changing time of the current, from approximately 16 - 34 A into 1 A or less, when the power window switch is turned UP once again.
        1. Standard: Approximately 4 - 90 seconds 
      4. When approximately 60 seconds have elapsed after the inspection of the current cut-off, check that the door glass goes down when the power window regulator switch is turned DOWN.
    1. OK: Repair Or Replace Harness And Connector 
    2. NG: Replace Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly LH
