Inspection Procedure

  1. Check Door Courtesy Switch. See  DOOR COURTESY SWITCH  . 
    1. NG: Replace door courtesy switch. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. Check for a grounding malfunction caused by loosened screw. 
    1. NG: Tighten screw. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. Check for harness and connector between door courtesy switch and body ECU. See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  . 
    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  .
