Illumination Control
Lighting function of interior light, overhead J/B, electrical key holder
When any door is opened, a signal is sent from the door courtesy SW to the body ECU. If the lighting SW on interior light and the overhead J/B is set to door when this signal is received, then the interior light, overhead J/B and key slot light illuminate faintly and then gradually become brighter for 1.5 seconds.
After that, if all the doors are shut and any of the doors is unlocked, then the interior light, overhead J/B and key slot will remain lit up for about 15 seconds (Timer lighting) and then fade out gradually.
If the power SW is set to the OFF position and all the doors are closed, then when any one of the doors is unlocked, the interior light, the overhead J/B and the key slot light illuminate faintly and then gradually become brighter for 1.5 seconds, stay on for the certain time (Timer lighting) and then fade out gradually. If power SW is turned from the OFF position to the ACC ON or IG ON position while the timer is maintaining the lights, the timer is cut off immediately and the lights are faded out.
If all the doors are locked during timer lighting, the timer lighting function is cut off immediately and the lights are faded out.
