Smart Door Unlock Function
When all the doors are locked, an oscillator on each door regularly sends signals which form detection areas outside the passenger cabin with a radius of about 0.7 to 1m from each door handle. After the detection area has been formed, and the driver enters the area carrying the electrical key, the key sends an ID code signal. The certification ECU receives the signal with the electrical key antenna and identifies the ID code. After identifying the ID code, the doors in the area are put into unlock standby mode. At this time, the sensors installed in door handles activate. Touching the inside of the activated door handles unlocks the door locks, lights up hazard lamps and sounds the wireless door lock buzzer. If no door is opened within 30 seconds of the door lock being unlocked, the doors will be locked again.
