2ZR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
(a) Intake camshaft side:




(1) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly
NOTE: Do not twist the O-ring.




(2) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly and wire harness bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(3) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector.
(b) Exhaust camshaft side:




(1) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
NOTE: Do not twist the O-ring.




(2) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly and wire harness bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(3) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector.




(4) Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)
2. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
