DTC B1785: Front Occupant Classification Sensor LH Collision Detection [12/2018 - ]: Procedure

1. Using the Techstream, perform Zero Point Calibration.

   Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2015 - ]

   Body Electrical > Occupant Detection > Utility 

   Tester Display
   Zero Point Calibration

   OK

   "Zero Point Calibration is complete." is displayed.

   Result

   Proceed to

1. Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant detection ECU.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ]

   Body Electrical > Occupant Detection > Clear DTCs 

2. Clear the DTCs stored in the airbag ECU assembly.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2018 - 08/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ]

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

3. Turn the power switch off.
4. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 10 seconds.
5. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ]

   Body Electrical > Occupant Detection > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   DTC B1785 is not output.

   HINT: 

   Codes other than DTC B1785 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

6. Turn the power switch off.

   Result

2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
3. Replace the front seat adjuster assembly RH.

   Refer to REMOVAL [12/2018 - 07/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
