Current Programming/SW DTC's identify and repair
After addressing any Power Supply faults, review the DTC's recorded in the diagnostic report created earlier and comparing to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) LIST - ALL VEHICLE FAULTS look for current DTC's of category "Programming/SW" to identify any current ECU programming, setup, configuration or software related DTC's. In particular, if multiple faults of this type are reported by the one ECU it's likely to be the cause of faults displayed by other systems addressing this next may resolve faults of the following types without additional action. Re-programming or configuring software will allow the technician to correct the customer concern with minimal disruption to the vehicle and without additional action.
Make sure to follow the DTC Repair Instruction provided for any of these DTC's.
