Telematics Programming

This section is for programming the Telematics software. To update the Multimedia Head Unit software please see the MULTIMEDIA HEAD UNIT PROGRAMMING .

Once you have gained access to the signing server, prepared the USB, and downloaded the datafiles, you can begin programming the Telematics system.

To update the Telematics software please follow the below steps.

1. Turn on the ignition
2. Plug USB flash into MHU
3. Strictly follow this guide below:
4. Enter Accessing Engineering Mode. Refer to MULTIMEDIA HEAD UNIT - ACCESSING ENGINEERING MODE

5. OPEN TBOX.

6. Activate GET OTP SEED.

   Get OTP to LOGIN  - https://signing-stg.vinfast.vn/#/totp 

7. Fill OTP SEED to get OPT.

8. Fill OTP (1) and touch LOGIN (2).

   Get into FLASH MODE 

   NOTE: Short Connector in MHU CON1502 to switch from Device Mode to Host Mode
9. Activate FLASH MODE.

10. Activate FIND PACKAGES.

11. Plug USB into USB port and find the TBOX SW package.
    NOTE: Short Connector in MHU CON1502 to switch from Device Mode to Host Mode

12. Found package from USB plugged.

13. Activate YES.

14. Get Flashing start... to finished
    NOTE: Bootloader Mode Risk
    To avoid TBOX stuck in bootloader mode please follow those advice.

    • Never turn off of hide engineering app when flashing ongoing until finished.
    • When stuck in bootloader mode, no TBOX info is displayed to recover, just reflash again and reboot as last slide.
    • Rest method is disassembly backup batter and power cycle Start over the flashing.

15. Flashing successfully finished.

    Installation Post-check 

16. Wait for 30s after installation finish, TBOX shall reset by itself, or you can force reset MHU and TBOX via Knob button.
17. Get into "TBOX Engineering Mode" page again. Refer to MULTIMEDIA HEAD UNIT - ACCESSING ENGINEERING MODE 
18. Activate "TBOX info".

19. Some importance information regarding to TBOX shall be displayed
20. Restart MHU in forcing mode
    • Press Knob and hold >30s until MHU is rebooted.
    • Remember flashing TBOX done, you have to reset MHU in this way or UDS: 11 01
