Wiper/Washer System Description And Function : Operation

Auto Front Wiper Function:

Turn the steering column switch to the corresponding position 1 - 6.

1. Windshield wiping with washer fluid
2. Sensitivity of the rain sensor
3. Single windshield swipe
4. Windshield wipers off
5. Automatic windshield wiping, first speed
6. Automatic windshield wiping, second speed

Turn the steering column switch to the corresponding position 1 - 5.

1. Rear wiping with washer fluid
2. Switches off automatic rear wiping
3. Switches on automatic rear wiping
4. Rear wiping with washer fluid
5. Turn on/off rain sensor

Wiper and washer operation via RH stalk

• Nominal - off
• Up 1 - wiper on speed 1 (low speed)
• Up 2 - wiper on speed 2 (high speed)
• Down - wipe once/continuous speed 2 while held
• Centre roller - sensitivity adjustment
• Pull - front wash and wipe
• Push - no function
• End press - auto wiper on/off
• Twist away 1 - rear wipe on intermittent
• Twist away 2 - rear wash wipe
• Twist toward 1 - rear wash wipe

Rear Wiper Function: 

The rear wiper is used to remove water, rain, ice, snow, or debris from the vehicle's rear window for better driver visibility.

Rear Wiper Controls

The rear wiper is operated by twisting the rear wiper switch which is present at the end of the right stalk.

OFF: Rear wiper is OFF.

1. Push button on the end of the stalk: Auto wiper on/off
2. Twist away from driver (Position 2): Rear wiper ON with washer. The rear wiper switch will return to ON position once released. Twist towards driver: Rear wiper ON with washer. The rear wiper switch will return to OFF position once released
3. Twist away from driver (Position 1): Rear wiper ON intermittently

Turn auto rear wipers ON/OFF via MDU:

1. Tap Library on the touchscreen
2. Tap Settings > Vehicle Settings (1) > Wipers (2)
3. Toggle Auto Rear Wiper Off/On (3)

Rotate the thumbwheel (1) to adjust auto rear wiper speed.

Uses the light sensor (1) attached to windshield bracket (2) to determine when wipe is required.

Activated via Vehicle Settings.
