VCU (Vehicle Control Unit)
Plug & Charge: Provisioning
This routine is used to provision the VCU to provide the correct certificates to allow the vehicle to utilize the plug and charge network with no user input at the charging station. The vehicle will communicate with the charger and complete the transaction automatically. For more information about the VCU system please refer to VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT (VCU) DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTION and t VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT (VCU) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

AMP (Amplifier)
Self-Test
Performs the amplifier on demand self-test to see if there are any internal faults.
POD (3in1 Power Gateway, DCDC, OBC)
Isolation Test
Disables the High voltage and measures the isolation resistance. There is a HV Isolation problem if the resistance between HV wire positive and GND OR HV wire negative and GND is < 500ohm/1V.
For more information about the POD refer to POWER DISTRIBUTION UNIT DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTION .
CCU (Climate Control Unit)
Motor Calibration
Detailed instruction for the calibration process are available in CABIN HVAC ACTUATOR RECALIBRATION .
For more detailed system information refer to HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTION .
OCS (Occupant Classification Sensor)
Calibration
Used to perform the occupant classification sensor calibration.
PSM (Power Seat Module)
Learn Seat Position Limits
This routine will drive the seat to the limits of travel each way to learn the position limits. This is used when a new PSM is installed or seat assembly. For more detailed information on the system refer to FRONT SEAT ASSIST POWER SEAT MODULE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT .
BMS (Battery Management System)
Reset Locked HV Battery
This diagnostic service is used in the event that the BMS determines there is a serious fault, the HV Battery may be put in a Locked State and HV operation will be inhibited. All HV Battery faults should be investigated using the applicable DTC Repair Instruction and VEHICLE HIGH VOLTAGE ISOLATION AND ENABLING PROCEDURE to ensure safe investigation.
Once the fault has been rectified the HV Battery can be unlocked using this diagnostic service function. Allowing HV operation to continue.
HV Battery Health Report
This diagnostic service generates a report summarizing the HV Battery identification information, errors, operating state and any DTC's.
Any time a HV Battery is to be removed from a vehicle this report must be generated immediately prior to removing it refer to EV HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT for more information, a copy of the report must be provided with the battery for transport.
EPS (Electronic Power Steering)
SAS Calibration
Steering Angle Sensor Calibration routine that is required whenever the steering column needs replacing, refer to
POWER STEERING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTION ,
ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING MOTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT and,
1004652 - Power Steering Control Module Calibration and Steering Angle Centering.
Please wait for 5-10 sec's after completing the routine before turning the ignition off. On the next ignition on/start the steering will be recalibrated and should work correctly.
IDB (Integrated Dynamic Brake)
Sensor Calibration
The sensor calibration performs the pressure sensor calibration, pedal travel sensor calibration and the longitudinal acceleration sensor calibration routines. These sensors are critical to provide the correct operation of the anti-lock braking system and electronic stability control system. Detailed instruction for the calibration process are available in 1005788 - Electronic Brake Master and Boost Assembly (E-Boost) Calibration. More information about the system can be found in 1003133 - Brake and Stability Control System Description and Function (including Redundancy System).
Repair Bleed
A service routine for IDB controlled brake bleed, refer to 1003224 - Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) and follow the instructions provided by the diagnostic tool on screen when using. For more information, refer to 1003133 - Brake and Stability Control System Description and Function (including Redundancy System).
MHU (Multimedia Head Unit)
Speaker Test
A service routine that will test the various speakers in the vehicle, in the following sequence. Listen for a speaker not making a sound during the test to diagnose faults with the speakers.
- E-Call speaker
- Instrument Panel Cluster speaker
- All four main speakers - Tone 1
- All four main speakers - Tone 2
Rear Camera Test
