Multimedia Head Unit Programming

This section is for programming the Multimedia Head Unit software. To update the Telematics software please see the instructions following .

Once you have gained access to the signing server, prepared the USB, and downloaded the datafiles, you can begin programming the MHU.

To update the MHU software please follow the below steps.

1. Turn on the ignition
2. Plug USB flash into MHU
3. Strictly follow this guide below:
4. Enter Accessing Engineering Mode. Refer to MULTIMEDIA HEAD UNIT - ACCESSING ENGINEERING MODE

5. Switch to "UPGRADE" mode.

6. Select file from USB after scanning.

7. Activate the update firmware processing.

8. Waiting until 100% to finished.

9. After update done, press reboot button to reboot system and applying new software! This may take a few minutes.
10. Insert the USB device into your PC and delete the programming datafiles.

    This ensures the files are not accessible to unauthorized persons, and also ensures that the latest datafiles are used each time a programming update is performed.
