Front Wheel Alignment


Check rear wheel alignment first and correct as needed, then service front wheels. When adjusting front wheel alignment angles, set caster first, followed by camber, then toe.

Caster

1. Loosen strut bar nut.
2. Adjust caster to specifications by adjusting length of strut bar.
3. Tighten strut bar nut to 72 ft. lbs.

Camber

1. Loosen upper control arm shaft nut.
2. Adjust camber to specifications by turning the upper control arm shaft.
3. Tighten upper control arm shaft nut to 54 ft. lbs.

Toe

1. Center steering wheel by turning steering wheel from lock to lock and counting number of turns.
2. Turn steering wheel back 1/2 number of turns until lug on rubber washer of pinion shaft aligns with notch in steering housing.
3. Loosen tie rod locknuts, then adjust toe to specifications by turning both tie rods equal amounts. Ensure that tie rod boots are not twisted.
4. Tighten locknuts to 58 ft. lbs.
