System Pressure Test
- Install Pressure Gauge (US1074 B
) between pressure hose and pressure pipe of valve housing. Open pressure gauge valve. Run engine at idle. Turn steering wheel lock-to-lock several times.
- On Quantum, pressure is 986-1189 psi (69-84 kg/cm2
). On all others, pressure is 1100-1200 psi (77.83-84.36 kg/cm2
). If pressure is not within limits, check pump pressure. If pump is good, replace steering gear.
