Radio/Navigation Display Unit Control Module -J503-
Removing
-- If there is a CD still in the player, remove it.
-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.
-- Remove the instrument panel center trim, refer to Description and Operation .
-- Remove the screws -arrows- from the Radio/Navigation Display Unit Control Module -J503- -1-.
-- Pull the Radio/Navigation Display Unit Control Module -J503- -1- out of the slot just far enough until the connectors on the back side are accessible.
Connectors -1- through -6- :
- Connector, Quad Block
- Not Assigned
- Connector, Radio Antenna
- Connector, Radio Antenna
- Connector for Video Signals
- Connector, DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting)/satellite tuner antenna
-- Squeeze the tabs on the connector -arrows-.
-- Move the locking bracket in direction of the -arrow-. The connector will be pushed out at the same time.
-- Push the retainer -A- onto the audio/video connector and move the mount in direction -B-. The connector will be pushed out at the same time.
-- Unlock the antenna connections -arrows- and disconnect the connectors.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Never push directly on the display or the buttons when inserting the radio/navigation display unit control module -J503-. Doing so could damage the Radio/Navigation Display Unit Control Module -J503-.
-- Check the coding, and re-code again, refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
