Radiator/Coolant Fan Overview

NOTE:
Spring clamps secure the coolant hoses to the radiator.
Coolant hose connection diagram. Refer to COOLANT HOSE CONNECTION DIAGRAM .
- Coolant Hose
- From the rear coolant pipe.
- Radiator
- Removing and installing, refer to RADIATOR .
- After replacing, replace the entire amount of coolant.
- Upper Seal
- Cap
- Check using the cooling system tester V.A.G 1274 B and the adapter V.A.G 1274/9. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .
- The pressure relief valve must open at 1.4 to 1.6 bar (20.3 to 23.2 psi).
- Coolant Expansion Tank
- Perform a leak test on the cooling system using the cooling system tester V.A.G 1274 B and the adapter V.A.G 1274/8. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .

- Inserted in the lock carrier.

- Removing and installing, refer to COOLANT FAN .

- Coolant Fan -V7-
- Removing and installing, refer to COOLANT FAN .
- With the coolant fan control module -J293-.
- Lower Coolant Hose
- Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-
- O-ring
- Always replace.
- Clamp
- Make sure it is secure.
- Upper Coolant Hose
