Test Procedure

-- Perform a preliminary check to verify the customers complaint. Refer to PRELIMINARY CHECK 

Start diagnosis

NOTE:

The reducing agent AdBlue® can irritate skin, eyes and possibly the respiratory system. If the fluid comes into contact with skin, rinse the affected area with plenty of water. Consult a physician if necessary.

The Reducing Agent Tank Heater is located on the top of the Reducing Agent Tank Assembly below the Reducing Agent pump. This component is available separately. Refer to Exhaust System component overviews in the Repair Information for component locations.

-- Remove the Reducing Agent Tank Assembly. The assembly is located above the rear muffler, mounted under the spare tire well, protected by a metal shield. Refer to the Repair Information for location and removal instructions.

-- Disconnect the T5h electrical harness connector at the Reducing Agent Heater Control Module -J891- and electrical harness connector T2cq at the Reducing Agent Line Heater (Heating Circuit 2) -Z104- -2-
