Window Guide, Removing And Installing

NOTE:

The following describes the removal and installation of the left window guide. Removing and installing the right window guide is identical.

Do not bend the window guide when removing it.

-- Remove the inner window shaft strip. Refer to INNER WINDOW SHAFT STRIP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the outer window shaft strip. Refer to OUTER WINDOW SHAFT STRIP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the exterior rearview mirror. Refer to EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the securing pin -2- -arrow a-.

-- Roll the window guide sealing lip -1- off the door flange from the inside.

-- Remove the window guide -1- from the door mounts -b and c arrows-.

-- Remove the window guide -1- from the door flange -3- evenly all around -arrows d-.

-- Spray the window guide with soapy water to make it easier to install.

-- Push the window guide -1- into the door mounts -a and b arrows-.

-- Attach the window guide -1- forward moving along the door flange -c arrows-.

-- Pull the window guide sealing lip onto the door flange from the inside.

-- Push in the securing pin -2- -arrow d-.

NOTE:

Make sure the window guide -1- fits evenly when installing it (wind noises).

Perform the rest of the installation in the reverse order of removal.
