Heater Support Pump - V488-, Checking
General Description
With the Engine Control Module -J623- controlling the operation of the Heater Support Pump -V488-, which pumps coolant to the heater core/rear heater core with the Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N82- also helping the coolant flow to stop or start. The Engine Control Module -J623- uses inputs from various sensors to determine when to operate the Heater Support Pump -V488-.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Multimeter.
- Wiring Diagram.
- Scan Tool.
Test requirements
- Fuses OK.
- Battery voltage OK.
- Switch OFF all electrical and electronic accessories.
- Vehicles with automatic transmission, ensure the selector lever position is in "P".
- Vehicles with manual transmission, ensure the shifter lever position is in "N" with the parking brake applied.

NOTE:
Note the CA1 and CMC both use the ECM connector T105a, and the CA2 uses the ECM connector T105b. Both connectors are identical except for the suffix of "a" or "b". For simplicity, please use the suffix "a".

- CHECK: Heater Support Pump -V488- harness connector terminal 3 to Engine Control Module - J623- harness connector T105a / 30 for resistance.
- SPECIFIED VALUE: 0.5 Ω (± 0.3 Ω).

- Perform a road test to verify repair.
