Front Motor, Installing, LHD

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

The Three-Phase Current Drive 2 -VX97- with the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics 2 -JX4- will be called motor in the information that follows.

Installing

-- Insert the bracket -A- into the holes -arrows B-.

-- Install the bolt -1- all the way in the hole -arrow C- hand-tight.

-- Secure the shackle -2- in the center hole.

-- Engage the Shop Crane:VAS 6100  in the shackle -2-.

-- Position the motor -1- with the workshop crane on the subframe in the installation position.

-- Align the motor support and transmission mount and install the bolts -3- and -4- all the way.

-- Tighten the bolt -2-.

-- Tighten the bolts -3- and -4-.

-- Remove the Lifting Device (ID.4):VAS 501 021  -arrow-.

Further installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following:

-- Install the subframe with the motor. Refer to SUBFRAME WITH MOTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
