Left/Right Rear Parallel Parking Assistance Sensor G716/G717, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

CAUTION:

Malfunctions could result from an incorrect or damaged decoupling spring.

- Do not turn the decoupling spring -3- on the sensor head.

- Replace the decoupling spring -3- if it is incorrect or damaged.

-- Check the decoupling ring -3- on the sensor -1- for damage.

-- Slide the connector -2- straight onto the sensor -1- and lock it.

-- When inserting the sensor -1- into the sensor mount, make sure that the decoupling ring -3- is seated correctly on the sensor head.

-- Insert the sensor -1- straight into the sensor mount.

Conditions

The hooks of the sensor mount must lock when installing the sensor -1-.
