Preparing
Requirement
- Refer to Necessity of Calibration .
- There may be no DTC memory entry present because they prevent the calibration.
Overview of the Installed Calibration System VAS721001
- Left Calibration Field from the Calibration System: VAS721001
- Front Peripheral Camera -R243-
- Right Calibration Field from the Calibration System: VAS721001
- Right Peripheral Camera -R245-
- Rear Peripheral Camera -R246-
- Left Peripheral Camera -R244-
-- Check the camera images on the display unit.
-- Check the cameras, brackets, and retainers for damage, external influences, and secure fit.
-- Check and clear the DTC memory using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Roll out the calibration fields to the left and right side, close to the vehicle.
Requirement
- The arrows -1- must point in the direction of travel.
-- Install the end strips at the front and rear of the calibration fields.
-- Align the calibration fields to the left and right side, close to the vehicle.
Requirement
- On both sides of the vehicle the crosshair -2- must be aligned centered to the front wheel.
- The dimension -a- 2000 mm to 2500 mm ± 5 mm, must be the same at the front and rear.
- The dimension -b- must be the same on both sides.
- The dimension -c- must be the same on both sides.
Calibrating
Requirement
- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester connected.
-- Perform the "Peripheral Camera System, Calibrating" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ENTRIES .
