-- Remove the Steering Column Electronics Control Module -J527-. Refer to STEERING COLUMN ELECTRONICS CONTROL MODULE J527, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the footwell vent under the steering column. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN VEHICLE INTERIOR .

-- Disconnect the connector -3- from the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- -1-.

-- Release and detach the wiring guide -1- for the wire -2- on the steering column -3-.

-- Release the tabs -arrows- from the wiring guide -1-.

-- Remove the cable guide -1- downward from the steering column.

-- Open the wire brackets -1- -arrows- and remove.

-- Loosen the buttons -1-.
