Programming speed signal, ECC

NOTE:

In order for the new ECC control module to function correctly, the speed signal must be programmed.

From production week 832 inclusive, the ECC control module has been updated with a new function for the programming of the speed signal from the combined instrument panel. This is because the functionality of the combined instrument panel has been changed.

Previously the combined instrument panel had two output signals; a 12 pulsed and a 48 pulsed signal. The ECC control module was connected to the 48 pulse signal. The new combined instrument panel will only have a 12 pulsed speed signal. Therefore the ECC control module is connected to the 12 pulsed signal.

The new ECC control modules replace the older versions and can be installed in both new and older cars. To obtain the correct functionality, the new ECC control module must be programmed for the correct type of speed signal. The new  combined instrument panel has the text "Max" instead of a digit at the maximum fuel level in the fuel gauge.

On older  combined instrument panels the ECC control module must be programmed for 48 pulses  .

On new  combined instrument panels the ECC control module must be programmed for 12 pulses  .
