Fault Conditions

Throttle unit has registered an internal or external fault and is unable to follow requested throttle angle from ECM. ECM-9190 is stored in ECM.

No substitute values are used but some systems are disabled.

• Cruise control cannot be activated
• Accelerator pedal is ignored when braking
• Throttle unit is in mechanical limp-home mode, and the throttle disc is in fixed position.
• Maximum permitted RPM depends on accelerator pedal position and is limited using fuel shut off.

Symptoms can include uneven idle, jerking during engine braking and very poor throttle response. Maximum speed will be approximately 32 MPH (50 km/h).
