Fault Conditions
Electronic throttle module has registered an internal fault and ECM-910E is stored in ECM.
If fault is detected repeatedly during the same operating cycle, the following actions are taken:
- Throttle unit switches to mechanical limp-home mode and throttle disc moves to fixed position
- Accelerator pedal is ignored when braking and cruise control cannot be activated
- RPM is limited using fuel shut off. Maximum permitted engine speed depends on accelerator pedal position
This DTC can also cause uneven idle, jerking during engine braking and/or extremely poor throttle response. Maximum speed is approximately 32 MPH (50 km/h) fault is detected repeatedly during the same operating cycle.
NOTE:
Electronic Throttle System (ETS) warning lamp is lit while ECM-910E is set.
