Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ABS-0012 or ABS-0022 (depending on the wheel sensor affected) is stored if the ABS control module registers that the signal from the wheel sensor is interrupted too many times during a 7 ms period.

Substitute Value 

• ABS system is blocked.
• EBD function blocked.
• Anti-spin function blocked.

Possible Source 

• Contact resistance in terminals.
• Loose connections in wiring/connections.
• The cables are too close to a source of interference.
• Cable insulation damaged.

Fault symptom[s] 

• ABS warning lamp lit.
• Anti-spin warning lamp lit.
• Brake circuit not functioning, warning lamp lit.
• No ABS function.
• Anti-spin does not function.
