NOTE: The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) applies only to ABS systems equipped with dynamic stability and traction control (DSTC).

The yaw rate sensor transmits a signal to the ABS control module. This signal indicates the extent and direction of yaw. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ABS-00A1 is stored if the control module registers that the signal from the yaw rate sensor is outside its permitted range.

Substitute Value

The anti-spin function is blocked.
The stability function is blocked.

Possible Source

Open-circuit in the wiring.
The wiring is short-circuited to ground or supply voltage.
Loose yaw rate sensor.
Defective yaw rate sensor.
Defective control module.

Fault symptom[s]

Anti-spin does not function.
No stability function.
Anti-spin warning lamp lit.
