If SWM microprocessor/control unit registers that Volume- switch is activated for more than 5 minutes, diagnostic trouble code SWM-001E is displayed.

Nothing.

Possible Source 

• Volume- switch is activated for more than 5 minutes.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Volume changes without volume up or volume down buttons being activated manually
• Radio steering wheel buttons do not work
• Telephone steering wheel buttons do not work.
