Checking wiring and sensors
- Ignition off.
Check the Transmission control module (TCM) and the speed sensor's connectors for contact resistance and oxidation.Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault
Check the power supply cable between transmission control module (TCM) terminal A59 and transmission connector terminal 16 for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .
Check the signal cable between transmission control module (TCM) terminal A41 and transmission connector terminal 17 for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .
HINT: With the transmission control module connected, the ignition on and a voltmeter connected between transmission connector terminals 16 and 17 (control module side), the voltage should be approximately 1 V below Ubat.
Remedy as necessary.
