Checking wiring and sensors
- Ignition off.
Check the transmission control module (TCM) and speed sensor connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .
Check the power supply cable between transmission control module (TCM) #A59 (#A59) and transmission connector A #16 for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .
Check the signal cable between transmission control module (TCM) #A41 (#A41) and transmission connector A #17 for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .
HINT: With the transmission control module connected, the ignition on and a voltmeter connected between transmission connectors #16 and #17 (control module side), the voltage should be approximately 3 V below Ubat.
Remedy as necessary.
