Intermittent fault
- Ignition off.
Check that the selector lever position sensor is fitted properly and firmly in place.
Check the control module and transmission connectors and the selector lever position sensor's ground connection for intermittent loose contact (connections), see Loose connections (terminals) , as well as contact resistance and corrosion, see Contact resistance and oxidation .
Check the leads between the selector lever position sensor and the control module for an intermittent open circuit, see Open-circuit, intermittent faults , an intermittent short to ground, see Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults , and an intermittent short to voltage, see Short-circuit to supply voltage, intermittent faults .
