Checking shift solenoid S1

• Ignition on.
• Gear selector in position P.
• Activate solenoid S1.

  Read off the current in the circuit.

  The current should oscillate between 500 and 1,500 mA.

Does the current oscillate? 

• YES 

  Refer to Intermittent fault 

• NO 

  Refer to Checking the wiring
