Contact breakers at doors and hatches.

There are contact breakers in the side door and tailgate/trunk lid lock units which indicate whether the door or tailgate/trunk lid is open or closed, and a contact breaker located at the hood if the vehicle is equipped with alarm. There are no contact breakers by the fuel tank filler cover. The contact breakers are closed if the door or hatch is closed and then provide a direct ground connection to the rear electronic module (REM).
