Signal too low: Verification: Verification

HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied. 

HINT: In order to verify this diagnostic trouble code (DTC), adaptation of the camshaft must be completed. Adaptation of the camshaft is carried out by the engine control module (ECM) when the catalytic converter is warmed up, during engine braking (fuel shut-off) above 1300 RPM for at least 10 seconds.

• Start and run the engine for at least 30 seconds
• Drive the car on the road. Ensure that the conditions for adaptation are met: engine braking (fuel shut-off) above 1300 RPM for at least 10 sec. The conditions can be satisfied for example by driving the car with a high engine load up to approximately 90 km/h and then releasing the accelerator pedal for 10 seconds. Repeat the schedule to ensure that the adaptation is carried out.
  NOTE:

  In order for the adaptation to be carried out, the accelerator pedal must not be touched during engine braking.

• Read off the camshaft adaptation after driving.

  Check that the value for the camshaft adaptation is correct. The value must be 27°CA (+/-8°CA).

Is the adaptation correct? 

• YES 

  VERIFIED:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO
