Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) BCM-0116 is stored if the brake control module (BCM) registers that the communication with the active yaw control sensor is not functioning.

Substitute Value 

• Traction control is blocked
• Stability control is blocked
• Active yaw control is blocked.

Possible Source 

• The cables for Control area network (CAN) communication are short-circuited to each other
• Short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in the cables for Control area network (CAN) communication
• Internal fault in the active yaw control sensor
• Internal fault in the brake control module (BCM).

Fault symptom[s] 

• The anti-spin warning lamp is lit (up to and including 2002 model year)
• General yellow warning lamp lit (from model year 2003 inclusive)
• Anti-spin does not function
• The stability control system does not function
• The traction control system does not function.
