Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

NOTE:

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) applies only to cars with dynamic stability and traction control (DSTC).

The control modules in the car continually transmit and receive information over the data network (Controller Area Network).

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) BCM-0097 is stored if the brake control module (BCM) registers that the signal from the central electronic module (CEM), which contains information about the vehicle type, has been absent for more than 27 seconds after the ignition is switched on.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.
