Internal Fault: Verification: Verification
HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
For checking MMS (up to and including MY 2011)
- Check that the function for reduced alarm is not activated (button on 7 in row).
- Open the driver's window and the rear window on the driver's side. Lock the vehicle using the remote control.
- Wait 25 seconds until the alarm is active. Then trigger the alarm by waving your arm through the driver's door window, inside the vehicle above the front seats. The siren or horn must sound and the hazard warning lamps flash.
- Reset the alarm by pressing the unlocking button on the remote control. Lock the vehicle again.
- Wait 25 seconds until the alarm is active. Then trigger the alarm by waving you arm, through the rear door window on the driver's side, inside the vehicle above the cargo compartment. The siren or horn must sound and the hazard warning lamps flash. Reset the alarm by pressing the unlocking button on the remote control.
- Check that the front and rear mass movement sensor (MMS) has triggered the alarm the last two times via the read out of the alarm cause in Vehicle communication.
For checking IMS (from and including MY 2012)
- Check that the function for reduced alarm is not activated (button on 7 in row).
- Open the driver's window, close all doors and hatches. Lock the vehicle using the remote control.
- Wait 25 seconds until the alarm is active. Then trigger the alarm by waving your arm inside the vehicle. The siren or horn must sound and the hazard warning lamps flash. Reset the alarm by pressing the unlocking button on the remote control.
- Check that the MMS or IMS has triggered the alarm via the read out of the alarm cause in Vehicle communication.
