Diagnostic Trouble Code Information BCM-U030046

Condition

The control modules continually transmit and receive information via the vehicle's CAN data network (Controller Area Network).

The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the brake control module (BCM) registers that there has been no signal from the central electronic module (CEM), which provides information on vehicle model, for more than 27 seconds.

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute Value 

• TC is blocked.
• SC is blocked.
• AYC is blocked.

Possible Source 

• A brake control module (BCM) from a different vehicle model has been installed.
• A central electronic module (CEM) from a different vehicle model has been installed.

Fault symptom[s] 

• General warning light on.
• Anti-spin is not operational.
• The stability function is not operational.
• The anti-skid function is not operational.
