Checking the control module

• Switch off the ignition.
• Disconnect the breakout box if this has not already been done.
• Connect the control module again.
• Switch on the ignition.

  The ABS warning lamp must light when the ignition is switched to position II. It should go out after 4 seconds, or when the engine is started.

  HINT: The lamp does not go out if the control module has detected a fault.

Is the function of the ABS warning lamp OK? 

• YES 

  Refer to Checking contact resistance and oxidation 

• NO 

  FAULT NOT FOUND:  Troubleshooting has been completed.
