Checking the wiring
- Ignition off
- The breakout box connected.
Check the communication cable CAN H between transmission control module (TCM) terminal #27 and engine control module (ECM) terminal #27. Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults (TCM-DF 18). Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults (TCM-DF 14). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults (TCM-DF 13).
Check the communication cable CAN L between transmission control module (TCM) terminal #26 and engine control module (ECM) terminal #57. Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults (TCM-DF 18). Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults (TCM-DF 14). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults (TCM-DF 16).
Remedy as necessary.
