Diagnostic Trouble Code Information BCM-U012588

Condition

Diagnostic trouble code BCM-U012588 is generated if the brake control module (BCM) registers a communication problem with the AYC sensor.

Substitute Value 

• TC is blocked.
• SC is blocked.
• AYC is blocked.

Possible Source 

• The CAN communication cables are short-circuited to each other.
• The CAN communication cables are short-circuited to ground or supply voltage.
• Internal malfunction in AYC sensor.
• Internal malfunction in brake control module (BCM).

Fault symptom[s] 

• General warning light on.
• Anti-spin is not operational.
• The stability function is not operational.
• The anti-skid function is not operational.
