Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information UEM-0013

Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) UEM-0013 is stored if diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) UEM-000A, UEM-000B, UEM-000C, UEM-0011 and UEM-0012 are not stored and the upper electronic module (UEM) registers an internal fault in the movement sensor or registers that there is an open-circuit or high signal in the movement sensor communication cable when the alarm is active.

The DTC indicates that an error has been detected in the rear mass movement sensor (MMS) or interior motion sensor (IMS from and including MY 2012).

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) UEM-0013 can be diagnosed when the car is locked from the outside using the remote control.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Contact fault on the sensor and/or control module sides
• Open-circuit in the sensor communication cable
• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the sensor communication cable
• Defective sensor.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Does not alarm the sensor.
