Condition

Engine control module (ECM) checks that the electronic throttle unit follows the requested throttle angle from engine control module (ECM).

If engine control module (ECM) detects that the current throttle angle deviates from the requested, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed in specific operation situations.

Substitute Value 

• Nothing.

Possible Source 

• The throttle binds or is blocked (for example, dirt, ice, etc.)
• Damaged electronic throttle unit.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Poor performance.
• Uneven idle.
