Condition
The diagnostic trouble code only applies to vehicles equipped with AWD and DSTC.
The differential electronic module (DEM) informs the brake control module (BCM) when all wheel drive is active. During all wheel drive operation, the brake control module (BCM) should not activate the stability function due to the risk of disrupting the differential electronic module (DEM). Diagnostic trouble code BCM-U041464 is generated if the brake control module (BCM) registers that the speed of the front and rear wheels differs too much.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.
