Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) TCM-0049 is stored if the control module detects a fault in the control module EEPROM memory.

Substitute Value 

• The transmission control module (TCM) "Emergency mode I" program has been initiated.

Possible Source 

• Faulty software in control module.
• Internal fault in control module.

Fault symptom[s] 

• No fault symptoms.
