Intermittent Fault
Check ground terminal 31/6 at the A-post. Check for contact resistance and oxidation. See CONTACT RESISTANCE AND OXIDATION .
Check the communication cable between gear selector control module terminal #2 and transmission control module (TCM) terminal #B21 (#B31). Check for an open-circuit. See OPEN-CIRCUIT, INTERMITTENT FAULTS .
Check the 6-pin connector and connector 54/3RF (passenger compartment cable harness - engine compartment cable harness). Check for damage to the terminals and pins.
Check the cable between the gear selector module (GSM) terminal #6 and ground terminal 31/6. Check for an open-circuit. See OPEN-CIRCUIT, INTERMITTENT FAULTS .
Remedy as necessary.
