The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the phone module (PHM) detects a short-circuit to supply voltage in the signals for either the SOS or the ON CALL switch.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on (not key position 3) and when the battery voltage is between 9-16 V. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed for a phone module (PHM) with Volvo On Call functionality.
