Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information IAM-4002

Condition 

The Integrated Audio Module (IAM) checks the signal in the signal cable from the microphone.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The signal is too low in the signal cable from the microphone.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Activated control module.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable between the microphone and the control module.
• Short-circuit between the signal cables to the microphone.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Microphone does not work
