Checking The Component And Wiring

HINT: There is probably a short-circuit to supply voltage in one of the cables if the ON CALL/SOS switch lights too brightly. There is probably an open-circuit in the cables if the ON CALL/SOS switch does not light at all. 

Check the cables for control module connector A for lighting the switch. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check between:

• terminals #3 (#3) and #5 (#5)
• terminals #4 (#4) and #5 (#5).

Check the cables for lighting the switch. Check for an open-circuit.

Check between:

• control module connector A terminal #4 (#4) and the connector for switch terminal #4 (#16)
• control module connector A terminal #3 (#3) and the connector for switch terminal #3 (#15).

Try replacing the switch if the cables are OK.

Remedy as necessary.
