The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the phone module (PHM) detects an open-circuit or a short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal for lighting the Volvo On Call switches. The lighting for the Volvo On Call switches is powered via the phone module (PHM). The power supply is a PWM signal (Pulse Width Modulated).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on (not key position 3) and when the battery voltage is between 9-16 V. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed for a phone module (PHM) with Volvo On Call functionality.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable for lighting the Volvo On Call switch
• Open-circuit in the cable for lighting the Volvo On Call switch.

Fault symptom[s] 

• No or reduced Volvo On Call functionality.
